Franklin Jiu-Jitsu Club’s goal is to promote athleticism, discipline, health, self-control, and confidence.

In 2021 Jason Ramey and Scott Coxey teamed up to open Franklin Jiu Jitsu Club in Franklin, Indiana just off I-65 at Exit 90, making for an easy commute for Whiteland, Shelbyville, Flat Rock, Hope, and Columbus residents to join the Griz Cave.

Our leaders have a wealth of knowledge to help new and seasoned students grow in the world of martial arts and beyond while encouraging a family-friendly environment with various classes and styles.

The Griz Cave is also growing in popularity with those in public safety providing a place to train their physical and mental state while gaining confidence in themselves.

We have classes that fit every busy schedule!

“This morning I had to take control over a mentally ill suspect who had a box cutter and a knife. He was trying to enter his neighbor’s apartment and attack them. He eventually dropped the knife after I spoke to him but when I started to put the cuffs on, he started fighting again. I was able to take control over him and place in custody because I have trained jiu-jitsu and learned from the best at the gym over the last 9 months. I was comfortable in that situation because all of you guys have put me in bad situations on the mat at one time or another. (This is not the only time I’ve used the skills I’ve learned at the gym for my job.) Jiu-jitsu works! Thanks to all of you for making me better”
